Change computer name format in RIS

Is there any way to change the naming format for new computers for a
software distribution that's already been created? That is, can I
change the automatic name without re-running riprep.exe?

For instance, if I created an image with riprep.exe where the computer
naming format was XYZ%#, all computers made with this image will be in
this format, even if I change the format on the RIS server. How can I
change the format to XYZ%MAC without re-using riprep.exe (starting
over)?

I never found out how to do this, and indeed, even new distributions
use the wrong machine name.

However, I've learned how to edit the .osc files in the OSChooser
folder, and I added a screen that asks for machine name, with the
default that I want.
