Dear all,
Recently I was exploring some options again from Excel
and was wondering if the following is possible.
Excel gives each column a letter from the alphabet, but
can I change this? i.e. instead of it being column A can
I change it into displaying 'Peter'?

Hope to hear from you.

Kind regards,
Peter Stikker

You can't do that but you can remove those column and row
headers.

go to Tools
Option...
under View .... windows option
uncheck column and row headers

hi,
no. very little can be done in changing column headers.
you can change the letter to a number by checking R1C1
reference style on the general tab of the options box.
(tools>options>general>R1C1 reference style)
but this also changes the way the formulas appear in the
cell. that can be confusing to most.
most people just use row 1 to put in any headers then use
freeze panes to "lock" the header at the top.

I was looking for something similar. My column headers
used to be letters and now they're numbers. So now I have
numbers on both the columns and rows.

Any ideas?
