CF2.0 not being Installed on TMobile MDA

S

Sachin Palewar

I am trying to deploy an aplication using VS2005 and ActiveSync 4.0 on
TMobile MDA PPC 2003 Phone Edition.

It gives messege : "Unable to start program %CSIDL_PROGRAMA_FILES%\....
Unable to
load the CLR. The target device does not have a compatible version of
the
CLR installed for the application you are attempting to debug. Verify
that
your device supports the apprpriate CLR version and has that CLR
installed. Some devices do not support automatic CLR upgrade".

And the application does not work.

When I manually copy and try to run the CF2ARM4 cab on device, it says
this cab is not intended for this device. There is no other ARM cab for
PPC 2003. What should I do?

Does CF2 not work with all 2003 PPCs even? What are other device
exceptions? Does it work with all 2003 SE devices?

Your views and suggestions are much appriciated.

Thanks,

Sachin Palewar

Sachin,

I'm having the same problem on both an imate Jam and HP 4705 device. VS2005
won't update the compact framework on these devices. Why?
