all,
I am currently using:
- WINXPE SP2
- Transmeta 1Ghz CPU w/via chipset
- 320Mb Ram
- 512 Simpletech Fixed CF card
The OS files and our custom application resides on a 220Mb NTFS
partition that is protected by EWF (Ram overlay).
The rest of the NTFS CF(other than EWF volume) is used for logging
diagnostic messages. Due to the fact that we must keep these messages
if power is pulled suddenly(could happen frequently) EWF is *not*
enabled on this partition.
Problem:
In two instances we have seen when trying to access the partition a
message saying something like "disk does not seem to be formated would
you like to format now".
My first thought is the files are getting corrupted by sudden power
loss and windows try's to reformat to access drive. The protected
volume has never had this problem (as all is written to RAM).
what is the best way to fix/work around this problem?
Thanks to everyone with feedback,
tgomez
