cf card reader

i have a computer running XP with built in card readers.
the problem i'm having is that every time i eject the cf
card i lose the the drive and the only way to get it back
is to reboot the computer. any ideas?
 
Before ejecting the card, go to another drive and open something on that
drive so XP is no longer reading your card. Then eject. See if this helps.
