Sorry to all on reader, posted there by accident. My pc recently updated to
WinXP. It doesn't see my CF card from a Minolta Dimage RD3000 camera. It was
OK on Win2000. If I format the card on a different camera, XP can see it OK.
Also it sees the card if formatted on the pc. I also bought a new card, but
that behaves exactly the same.
Anyone have any ideas? I really don't want to change cameras, as few have
the optical versatility of this one.

Then find the drivers for that device for your new OS you just loaded.

Are you connecting the camera to the computer or using a
card reader to see the card? I use a Lexar USB 2.0
Multicard Reader and XP has the drivers for that reader
(www.lexarmedia.com ). If you are connecting with the
camera, get updated software from Minolta.

Hi Jim

Yes, I'm using a USB card reader. The device works perfectly well with the
same card formatted in other cameras, it seems to be just the Minolta. Can't
find any software on many suggested sites, or Minolta. I have e-mailed
Minolta UK, but they havn't replied as yet.
I have seen one other reference to a similar problem, on an HP camera, but
no work around or fix.
I have a pack of lenses and other stuff for this camera, so I don't want to
replace it.
Thanks to all who replied
