XP does not autoplay a Minolta Dimage XR digital camera

I have a Minolta Dimage XT camera that used to work with my laptop
running XP Pro. When I plugged the camera into the usb port, I would get
the AutoPlay select window, and the drive would be assigned a drive
letter in Explorer. Now when I connect the camera, I can click on the
'Safely Remove Hardware' icon and see the device, but don't get the
AutoPlay window, and no drive letter in Explorer. I can take the camera
to two other laptops running XP, plug it in, and it works fine, just not
on my laptop. I have uninstalled the device driver and rebooted, and
after that I get the "New Hardware Found" caption, and all the captions
including "New Hardware is Ready to Use". I just can't access the camera.

Any ideas on how to get this camera working again?

Thanks

Thanks for the quick answer. The AutoFix.exe program did not fix the
problem, but it did point me to the problem. I had a network drive that
was setup as F:, and the camera was trying to use F: as well. I renamed
the network drive Z: and the camera worked fine. Thanks for the help.
