Autoplay problem

I have an Olympus C-700 camera that I plug in through USB port. I used to get
the auto play window pop up, but now it doesn't. Auto play is still working
on the CD & DVD drives. I have tried the Autoplay Repair Wizard and Tweakui
but neither have solved the problem. I get the "safely remove hardware" icon
in the system tray but cannot access the camera to get the photos Any
suggestions appreciated

The "safely remove hardware" icon is generally because you have a card reader
plugged in. You should therfore be able to remove the card from your camera
and plug it into one of the slots on the front of the tower and then get
access to all you pictures. That's how I do it. Saves the hassle of
purchasing a docking port for the camera or using it's batteries up. On the
other hand once the camera is plugged in you should then be able to see it
through start>my computer and see it listed there. Clicking on it will then
open it for you to use. Post back if you need more. TTFN.

Thanks UP, I have no card reader slots on the front of the tower, and there
is no docking port available for the camera. I've tried looking in my
computer for the camera but all that show are C drive Dvd drive and scanner.
I know it is not a problem with the camera as I can download photos fine onto
another computer.
