TILL TODAY.FROM A WIN2000 PRO SYSTEM USING RDP CONNECTION
SOFTWARE I(logged as domain/admin) RESTARTED THE
SERVER.ALL THE REMOTE USERS WERE LOGGED OFF EXEPT 5 USERS.
(THIS IS THE FIRST RESTART SINCE THE SERVER
INSTALLED).AFTER RESTART I COULDN'T LOGON TO TSERVER FROM

PLS SUGGEST ME WHAT TO DO!

Can you telnet to port 3389 on the terminal server
(something like, telnet {ip_address} 3389) or do a
netstat -an on the terminal server to verify that port
3389 is open and listening?

Are there any events in the eventlog?

HI
I tried netstat command and found that port 3389 is open
and listening.2 users connections were established.
event id 1004 says that the server could not issue licence
due to changed(mismatched)client license or internal error!

{but i just noted that this event was registered in
regular manner after 30 days from the server installation}

Also event id 18 & 3 were recorded on the day the i
restarted the server from a rdp session in w2k pro machine!
it says "The local computer may not have the necessary
registry information or message DLL
files to display messages from a remote computer.
You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve
this description;"

every were worked smooth till i restarted the server from
a RDP session!No more new user accounts could logon to TS.

ALSO I COULD NOT ADMINISTER THE SERVER FROM MY W2K PRO
MACHINE using RDP.(i use the latest RDP software }

i think i have provided the necessary informations that i
can say!.

WAITING FOR YOUR EARLIEST HELP!

THANX
NAVEEN
