certain URLs will not load

I have run CWS shredder, lavasoft and spybot S+D. I have
also run norton 2004 which catches both viruses and
spyware. However, I still cannot visit sites like:

www.mcafee.com and the other virus detection vendors like
CA - http://www.cai.com/

What else can I do? Thanks -mike

Find the file named "hosts" (no extension; use the Windows Explorer
search function). Rename it to something else.

Some malware alters the hosts file, which then causes your computer to
not be able to find Websites that were added to hosts.
