Cells in tables are automatically readjusting

I've been working with tables to revise some forms, but just recently, the
cells seem to adjust themselves, messing up the tables. If I lengthen or
shorten one cell, some others automatically adjust and it sends the text to
two lines in the other cells. It doesn't matter whether or not I select the
only cell I want to adjust, others will adjust, too. Is there a setting to
turn this off?

On the Table tab of Table Properties, click Options and turn off auto
resizing.
