CdRW won't recognize autorun.exe

My CD R/W will not recognize if there is a blank CD or a CD with an autorun.exe or a setup.exe
I would appreciate any help or ideas where to go from here

Autorun.exe does not function correctly if Easy C/D Creator
is installed. Don't know why the blank CD isn't recognized.
What software are you running that should recognize it?

Its Autorun.inf that is the key - not autorun.exe

It is noticed by Explorer - you have to have the drives Properties
(r-click in My Computer, Properties - Autoplay) set so 'Mixed content'
opens to 'view files and folders in Explorer'
