Cdrom0 Paging error

An error was detected on device \Device\CdRom0 during a paging operation.

This little error has stopped me from installing any multiple disk programs
and totally crashes my system.

System: Pentium D
twin 80 gig confugured to raid 1 (mirror) Partitioned into two drives
Verto Gforce graphics
Dvd Rom (1)
Cdrom (0)
1 gb memory

Any other info on request. Thank-you for your time to respond,

Replace the drive with another (new - used) and see if the behavior ends. If
so, bad drive, if not another problem - rule out the drive first.
