Worrying item in Event Viewer

Hey guys

I recently discovered this on one of my client's PC's:

"An error was detected on device \Device\CdRom0 during a paging
operation". It has an Event ID of 51.

If you click the link to get more info on the issue, it was suggested I
replace the IDE ribbon. Well, I have since replaced the ribbon, but to
no avail. The optical drive in question is a LiteOn DVD-writer.

What else could cause this error? I notice that the PC hangs when you
put a disc into it...

This PC isn't more than about a year old.
