I can't get my cd's to read automatically when inserted
it just goes back to my desktop, i've looked for a auto
insert notifacation every where on xp but no luck can
anyone help.

Right on the CD Drive icon and go to properties and go to the Autoplay tab.

well when i go to auto play i,ve only got take no action

and win. media player and real player ,open from folder
i've tried all but still won't read cd's when i insert
them, in my computer the cd's only show mega bytes and no
name but dvd and cd rw, can i try something else.
