CD_ROM

A friend of ours recently updated our computer to windows XP. I've tried
numerous times to use the CD-Rom and I keep getting the message that there is
no CD-Rom attached to the computer. This is driving me nuts. I have NO idea
what to do to fix the problem. We also have a RW drive that will not work
either. When I checked the properities of both. It has a big exclamation
point in yellow and says registry not complete or missing. CODE 19. ANY HELP
WOULD BE GREATLY APPREICATED!!!!!
