cd writing wizard

when i install a cdr in in my drive to write, my wizard does detect it and
does not start, and when i drag and drop, when i click write files to cd it
says this is not a writable cd ,when i know it is can anyone help?
 
Check the Properties of the drive in My Computer. Does it have cd writing
enabled on the Recording tab? Is the recording tab missing? You might have to
reinstall or update the drivers for the drive.
 
I forgot to mention that you should try another writeable disk. The one
you're using might be bad.
 
Hi, also depending on your type of drive you may still need to install say
Nero 6 or higher. I had to do this to day on my toshiba lpt. KB note said
they only recommend this one for their drives.
