CD writing wizard

We can write CD's using Nero or RealPlayer or Windows
Media Player but when we try to use the CD writing wizard
we get the message:
"You have files waiting to be written to the CD".
Then:

"There is no disc in the drive
Please insert a writable CD into drive D:/"

The discs are good, because they can be burnt using Nero
or EasyCD.

The drive works fine, except for this.

Thanks all for any help.

I'm afraid it's one or the other - both Easy CD Creator and Nero 'override'
the native burning wizard, IIRC.

Wrong. I have Nero installed and use it regularly, and also use XP's
native CD writing engine from time-to-time. They both function
together just fine.

If you are using those programs then you should have the inbuilt burning
turned off anyway. Nero achieves all that it does, and a good deal more
