CD-Speed

When playing audio cd's on my CD/DVD-rom I would like to make the CD/DVD-rom
to read the audio-cd with lower read-speed like 10X, so the noise from the
CD/DVD-rom disapear. Is there a manuall way to lower the read speed on the
CD/DVD-rom like maybe editing the registry-settings?
I have tryed using software like Nore DriveSpeed, but everytime the audio
tracks switches the CD/DVD-rom goes on full speed

I had a CDROM before which could change running speed.
It was really fun, 3 level speed conversion.
Never know how to change speed from Windows.
Put an earphone on is a way to avoid noise.
