How many times can you write on a cd-rw?
I heard that every time you erase a disk you loose some
of its capacity. So if you write a full disk and then
erase it and then try to write the same program on the
disk it wont fit.
Is that true?

From my experience, yes you lose some space, but not sure how much....I
haven't had to erase many.

Two things - if you are using the inbuilt burning, it is not really a
CD-RW approach, and further writes *add* to what is already there (if a
file matches, the old copy becomes invisible but is still there). You
can only erase the disk as a whole and start over.

If you use a packet writing program like InCD or Direct CD, this does
not apply, but the sectors holding the directories are constantly being
rewritten, and will wear out. It is not a long-term, secure type of
device, and backups will be much safer on CD-R
