CD-RW will not function after update

Keep Getting "D:\ not accessable incorrect function"
Read cd's ok however will not burn. Downloaded many
updates at once.
 
Greetings, same problem after update from microsoft web
site, all recommended updates. Try access to devices in
the safe mode. I believe re-installing device and drivers
may permit W2000 to see the device and then, read the
volume.
