FIrst off, thanks to those who have offered suggestions.
Sadly nothing has worked yet :(

When I put a cd in either drive, a matshita cd rom drive
and a hp cdrw, the cd spins up and then the system
reboots, every freaking time, no mater if its a data or
music cd. I have tried disabling the autoplay and that
doesn't help. I checked the event viewer and have pasted
in the error below. I searched on this site and only found
a reference to ms messanger, similiar but not exactly the
same error. That didn't help.

I have tried the following:
1. uninstalling and then installing them seperatly
2. switching out the cable
3. installing a brand new power supply
4. switching controller from primary to secondary

somone said yesterday to switch COM+ Service off, in
reference to the error from even viewer below. What is
that and how do I do it?

Nothing has worked.

I am at wits end here. Anyone have any other suggestions?

Here is the info from event viewer.

Event ID: 4354

The COM+ Event System failed to fire the
ConnectionMadeNoQOCInfo method on subscription {BB5FE1FE-

subscriber returned HRESULT 80010105.
