cd rom problems

My cdrom is not working properly. I can boot from the
disc but can not access it when Windows is up. It is not
seen in Device Manager or in Explorer. The error message
says that the folder was moved or removed. What is wrong
with it? How do I fix it?
 
Just a guess. Do View, Show Hidden and see if it's there. If so delete
it and rescan or reboot.
