CD-rom drive

My cd-rom drive does not work any more. It will run DVD's but will not run
game' cd, or music cd how do I fix it? The drives say that they are all good
for it.

Your drive has 2 lasers, one for CDs and one for DVDs.
It looks like your CD bit may be goosed (pretty standard behaviour)
Could be time to invest a few £s or $s or whatever in a new one
