cd-rom drive

my cd-rom drive stoped reading game cd's and only reads DVD's now how do I
fix that? Also the drivers all say that they are all good

If there are two lasers, one for DVD, one for CDR, maybe the laser for
the CD portion is bad. Can it play music CD's? If so, it's probably a
software issue.
