Hello,

I tried to search files in my CD rom drive (Drive E):
The result found shows in "In Folder" column:
C:\Documents and Setting\myname\Local Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft\CD
Burning\Filename.ext

Why it says in C folder ?

If I right click the file, and check, its information about location is

correct it is in E
If I search in C:\Documents and Setting about this file I can't find
(in
this case it is correct)

Please help

Sincerely Yours,
pujo

Hi pujo,

This is because you don't understand how to properly work it. Do you
know about programs like Ahead's Nero or Easy CD Creator? What type of
CD-Rom Drive is installed? What type of CD Disks are you using? What types
of files are you searching for that you found on Drive C:\? Have you burned
CD-R Disks or DVD-R Disks in the past?

C:\Documents and Setting\myname\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\CD
Burning\ is the default folder that files to be burned to a disk are
stored. If you use the XP built in CD burning. So when you check properties
it shows that location.

Hello Bud,

So I considered this is normal.
I never searched data in my directory before that's why I was confused
when I found the searching result of in folder shows the
C:\document.....

By the way, Does it means every file in my CD roms copied into the
C:\document.....\Microsoft\CD ?

Thank you.

Problem solved:
It is because The XP CD burning feature is on.
I turned it off.
Everything back to normal again.

Thanks everyone.
