CD problem with error message: "Workflow Harness Executable Application"

I'm attempting to install Cox high-speed internet
service. Modem is connected and all lights indicate
everything is set up correctly.

Problem occurs when I try to follow CD instructions for
installation of service and configuration. I receive an
error message that states:
"WorkflowHarness Executable Application has encountered a
problem and needs to close." "PLEASE TELL MICROSOFT
ABOUT THIS PROBLEM."

I've tried everthing I can think of to no avail. Can
anyone help?

I just had same issue trying to install SBC/AT&T DSL Installer CD onto a "new" IBM ThinkCentre running XP/SP2.
Anyone find a solution after all this time?
HELP appreciated.
