If you have WMP 6.4, try this: Launch WMP, click on View > Options > Formats
[tab]. Uncheck all audio types, i.e., Audio file, MP3, etc. Click on Apply & OK.
Close WMP.
Insert an audio CD in the drive to see if CD Player has reclaimed the defaults.
If no joy, you may have go to Folder Options > File Types, and reassign each
audio file type.
