If it was an OEM license, you should contact whomever sold you the
PC; although very few manufacturers/vendors keep records of the
Product Keys they've sold, it's worth a try before you have to buy a
new license.
Is the system still operable? If so you can get the Product Key from the
ViewKey utility that Michael Stevens suggested. There are also other
utilities such as AIDA32 (from www.aida32.hu) that will do this and more.
If not, you need to either contact Microsoft's Customer Service (if it is a
Retail copy) or the OEM system mfr (if an OEM copy) per John Vinson's
suggestion for any available help.
