I can not access my CD because it says it is locked. Help this is a school
computer.

Are you the system administrator for the "school computer"? If not contact
them.

We only have one tech person for the county. She is not available and I am in
a jam. I need the CD because it contains a program for auditory
discrimination for speech and language services.

What says it's locked? What is the error message, and what are you trying to
do when it happens? What happens when you try to read a different CD?

You should be able to pop open the door between boot and windows

Okay I click on the shortcut for an auditory discrimination game, I get a
message saying insert the CD, it is already in. It has stopped saying it is
locked for time being. But it does not show the contents of the CD or any CD.
Please help

Is there more than one CD drive? It sounds as though this is an installed
program that needs to have the install CD in the drive in order to run. In
some cases, if the CD isn't in the drive from which the program was
installed, it won't work. Another thing you can try is cleaning the CD.

It does it with any CD. I tried cleaning the disk but I know all of them
aren't that dirty. I tried to restore to an earlier point but that did not
work either.
