My Teac dw-224e just stopped working out of the blue. I tried to ru
the troubleshooting and it keeps showing up with an exclamation poin
in the device manager....please advise

Check if the drawer opens when hitting the eject button. If not check power
cable to it. Go to Control panel and System folder. Remove the Teac by
deleting it from the list of hardware items. Reboot. See if the exclamation
point has disappeared. If not, check its data cable to see that it's still
connected to both it and mb.
Try substituting a different data cable if problem persists. If no change
then the drive is probably shot.

Thank you for the response. I guess I failed to mention that it is i
a Toshiba laptop

Makes it harder to get to also.
