cd/dvd rom drive

hello,
I have yellow exclamation marks next to my cd/dvd rom
drives in the device manager. I have tried to uninstal
and reinstal both but the problems remain please advise.

Try this:
http://www.dougknox.com/xp/scripts_desc/xp_cd_dvd_fix.htm
When open, go to Restore CD/DVD Drives to Explorer.
Download and install it. It worked for me. Let me know if
this took care of it.
