I have a question. I just started having this problem. When I insert a cd or
dvd it shows the name in My Computer, then when I eject it, it is still
there. The only way I can get rid of the Icon for example: I insert a music
cd to listen to, it says Audio: which is fine, I want it to say what is on
the disc. then when I eject it, it is still saying Audio. The only way to
clear it is to restart my computer.

Is there something that I can do to correct it?
When I log off and log back in it is still there!!

Thanks, Jamie
p.s. I like the fact that the disc shows the contents, but hate the fact
that it is still hanging around even if there is nothing in the drives. Yes
I have 2 CD\DVD Drives.

Generally this happens after autorun(start) and/or autoplay has been
disabled. Windows doesn't scan the drive every time a disc is removed or
inserted... Only corrective action is to re-enable the Auto's.

It's possible that it is something else, but I this is what I experienced
after disabling the autostart/run elements.
