Go to Start/Run, and type DEVMGMT.MSC , highlight the dvd device, Action
menu, "Uninstall", then restart Windows, to find the device drivers again
automatically.
To repair all system files, go to Start/Run, and type: SFC /SCANNOW
Of course, you might be talking about some one specific DVD disk, and it is
faulty in some way.
