My comuputer is recognizing software discs, but it does not recognize cd's of
dvd's any more. I can hear my drive and my light flashes, but it says no
disc in drive. It only does this with dvd's or cd's. Any one know what to
do to fix it. I have Window's Vista Home Premium.

I look up the manufacturer in my device manager and it says the manufacturer
is (Standard CD-ROM drives). It says at the top of the little window
TSSTcorp CD/DVDW TS-H652D ATA Device. Any help?
Thanks for responding, this has been driving me crazy.

Go to your OEMs or CD/DVD drive manufacturer's website and get the latest

Thanks, Bob
I got online with eMachines live chat and he checked my drive issues through
remote access. He determined that my drive is defective and they are sending
me a new one. My computer is still under a 2 year limited warranty.

Thanks for your help.
