CD/DVD burner not working

I recently reinstalled XP, and now I can't write to a CD/DVD with my burner,
which I could before the reinstall. When I right click on the file I want to
burn, under "send to" there is nothing for my CD/DVD burner. I can open the
burner window from My Computer, then drag and drop files into the window, but
then when I click on the left pane "Write these files to CD" it beeps and
nothing happens. The same thing happens when I click "Delete tempory files."
I made sure that enable cd burning is checked in the recording tab of the
drive properties, and it still doesn't work. Is there anyway to fix this.
Can I change anything in regedit to make this work? Thanks

I suggest you can try to uninstall the CD/DVD drive in Device Manager and
then reinstall again. Hopefully this way it can reset anything wrong with
it.

I tried uninstalling/reinstalling it...nothing happened.

Perhaps the last resort I can give is download HighMAT from Microsoft, the
extension to CD Writing Wizard, to serve as a reinstallation for the wizard.

It is no harm to install the extension or keep the original CD Writing
Wizard, but I hope it can serve as "reinstall your CD Writing Wizard".
