CD DRIVES do not refresh in explorer

I'm having trouble to get my CDRW and DVD drives to
refresh when I take out any CD's, explorer just shows the
CD title of the disc that was removed from the drives.
When I put a different CD in explorer does not refresh to
show the new disc title - Never happened before I
installed the latest update from Microsoft - anyone have
any ideas to remedy the problem?
 
Autorun was switched off - had to go into registry to
turn it back on
