cd burning problem

I have Nero-Express installed and working.. But, I can't use Windows to
recognize my CD-R disc when I load it..
Is there a compatibility problem between Nero-Express and Windows CD write,
etc.. I'm using Windows XP..
A friend tells me that Microsoft Windows update has a fix but I can't find
it..
Anybody run up against this problem???
