CD burning impossible.

My IMAPI service refuses to start no matter what I do. Any
suggestions?

Look in the event viewer for possible further information.

The reg. entry didn't help and the event viewer didn't show
any errors concerning the IMAPI service except for a cdrom
error showing a 'bad block' (which isn't telling me much).
I'm at my wits end...

Try with a different drive. You don't provide a lot of information, so
maybe the answer is that your cd-rw drive is bad.
