Cd burner won't accept discs?!

I have been trying to burn a c.d for a couple of days now and the thing won't
accept the discs. The burner didn't have any problems before, but all of a
sudden something went wrong, here's the situation:
- When I put the disc into the drive, it tries to read the disc, fails and
ejects the disc.

I am using a windows XP, can someone PLEASE help me get this problem solved,
and fixed? Thank you!

You need to post in microsoft.public.windowsxp.hardware . This is a Vista
group.

I think it may need to be replaced, especially if you haven't done anything
to the computer to change things.

Let this forum know if this helps or if you figure out the problem, so
others can benefit. As far as I know the "notify me of replies"
does not work, so do not count on this feature.
