CD Autoplay behavior

Upon inserting media into either of my CD drives, it will automatically open up a folder listing of the contents of the drive, no matter the media type (CD Audio, CD-rom, DVD). I have set both of the CD drive autoplay properties to "Prompt me each time to choose and action" for every media type, but I still get the folder listing. I also tried resetting the defaults via the CD properties setting -- no luck. For audio CDs, I have tried every option listed in the Autoplay tab, but I get the same results -- folder listing.

Any ideas? Possible some SW I have installed overrides the Autoplay settings?

Hi,

Try the Auto-Play repair tool listed here under Why doesn't Auto-Play work?

I downloaded it, ran the tool, and rebooted, but get the same results.

I have tried every setting under autoplay, for example, for a Audio CD --
play with Windows Media, Play with ITunes, Rip with EZ CD-DA......regardless
of the setting, none of those applications open when an audio CD is inserted
into the drive, but I still get the Windows explorer folder listing of the
audio files.

Out of curiosity, I tried it again selecting the other drive, and it
identifies a Autoplay V2 problem, but cannot fix it.
