I see this is the Windows XP event log, after Symantec Live update
runs. Any ideas how to fix it? I've uninstalled and reinstalled the
Symantec Anti VIrus and live update. I've also cleaned out all entries
in the registry.

You'd be better off contacting Symantec for support with their products,
everyone here hates 'em ;-)
