Catalyst Control Panel no longer available?

I just decided to update my catalyst drivers for the first time since last
December. Looking at the download page at the ATI support site it seems
that the driver and catalyst control panel packages that I've always used
before are no longer available? there only seems to be the driver alone or
the driver + catalyst control center package (which I've always heard bad
reports about). Is the basic control panel (not control center) package
version still available? Or if I just install the driver alone will I still
be able to use the control panel that I've already got installed with my
older drivers? Cheers.

Just get Omega's drivers which don't use CCC or .NET. As an added benifit you
should see better image quality and possible framerate increases.

Be sure to get the WDM for VIVO and AIW as well. (scroll down past the links for
the main 6.5 drivers) You'll know you need those if you reboot and it finds new
hardware again..

yes you can just install the driver on its own, and the existing control
panel installation will still work. that's what I have done. I am also
trying out ATI Tools as an alternative to the control panel and the CCC.
They highly recommended by others on this NG.

You may want to try ATI Tray Tools in http://www.guru3d.net (?)
