Cat 3.9 and Cat 3.8: problems for a 9500 Pro and IL2-FB

I've just finished rolling back my Catylist to V3.7 after black triangles
started corrupting my IL-2 FB sessions. Originally I'd thought that the
problem was with my hardware and I experienced great relief finding out that
the black triangle problem went away when I rolled back the driver. The
black triangles are visible for only a split second at a time and occur
mainly when drawing distant terrain features but they sure kill the
immersion factor. (My test was to run the IL-2FB Aerobatics 2 track) I
wonder if this problem is common? I just upgraded my rig from an Athlon
1200 lifting the 9500 Pro out of that system and sticking it into the new
one. I had experienced exactly the same problem with the old rig running
Cat 3.8 several weeks ago. I downloaded Cat 3.9 yesterday hoping that ATI
fixed the problem but they hadn't.

My setup:
XP Home
ASUS A7NX2
AMD 2500XP
1.0 GB PC3200 DDRAM
120 GB HD
ATI 9500 Pro

Mmm, I had a problem with Vice City ...

3.9 just like you use... Omegacorners Drivers ( 3.9 ) did the trick with me.

Ha, gotta love Omega for that!

Hi

try this ATI driver from the french checksix website. It´s the CAT 3.9 with
atioglxx.dll from 3.7. It works well with my 9700np. Or save the
atioglxx.dll file from the 3.7 driver, install 3.9 and copy the old dll into
WINDOWS/SYSTEM32.

You can also drop that file in the game directory instead, then it won't
affect anything else if you want to use the latest files with other games.

Which file is that? The drivers tried to install and since everything
else works I stopped the install. Which file am I looking for to stop
the flashing in IL2-FB?
