Please also see this thread - it provides some real insight as to why CC
is really closed.

Thanks, Randy. Broader and a bit more contentious discussion also over
at http://www.dslreports.com/forum/remark,20961731. People are looking
at MS contracts that might have affected the ability of the main
person to continue, and also worried about what happens to the email
lists, which could at least theoretically change hands with sale of the
site. I think in the forum you posted someone(s) started asking about
Mailwasher. That used to be hosted at Castle Cops, but Firetrust set up
their own forums in the past few months.

Your welcome, Gene.
Much is being debated as I type, it remains to be seen what some of the Vendors
that were hosted exclusively by CC are planning on doing.
Obviously Hosting costs money, people, et al.

I personally don't see CC continuing anytime soon as it is now.
CC may be re-born as something entirely different, we shall see.

Thanks for the feedback!

I read through Randy's thread, and I looked at yours, but found that it
started in August, and wasn't willing to dig all the way through.

All I see is speculation, and a fair amount of Microsoft bashing.

I'm not going to worry about the why's further unless I hear something from
somebody who really has inside knowledge. The resource is clearly a loss,
but I'll look forward to hearing more about Paul's new work.
