Hi,
This is just a copy of the post in General Discussion - I didn't know
where's the best place to put it.

Hi,
I have Dazzle 8-in-1 card reader/writer. Seems to work OK. When not in use
it continuously (no frequency pattern) disconnects and then immediately
connects. Any suggestions how to 'stabilize' it? Thanks a lot in advance.

Thanks again.

The card doesn't do that, it can't. Windows XP, however, is famous for it.

Go to the Device Manager. (Shortcut: WinKey + Pause/Break, select
Hardware, Device Manager.)

Click on the Plus (+) next to Universal Serial Bus controllers.
Right-click on the first device "USB Root Hub", and select Properties,
Power Management. Uncheck the box, "Allow the computer to turn off this
device to save power.", then OK out.

Do this for all the USB Root Hubs in the list. You do not have to reboot
for the change to take effect.

I already answered that other post. Search for your name. Please keep
posts about one subject in one thread. Wait at least 24 hours before
making a new post about the same question.
