Card reader on USB 2.0

Pino

I have installed a card reader on Windows XP.

I think it is very slow (lower than 4 MB/second).

Have you got any ideas to configure Windows XP for reading fast from the
memory card? Driver, USB 2.0 configuration, etc.

In general, I'm looking for the Windows XP best configuration for reading
FAST from a device.

Thank you in advance,

Pino.

Is it a USB 2.0 card reader? Many are not. The Lexar USB
2.0 Multicard Reader is very nice.

I too have a USB 2.0 multicard reader, which I have tested with different CF
and SD cards. The read/write speeds are limited by the read/write speeds of
memory card and not by the USB interface(480Mbps=60MB/sec). Also write
speeds are highly dependent on the number of files and the average size of
files written to memory card.
