Card reader does not read cards

I have a internal card reader that has worked fine for months.

Now when I put in a SD card Windows doesn't see any media inserted.

My card drives show up in Explorer, Device Manager says everything is OK.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the card reader but still no joy. The
SD
card is functioning fine on other PCs.

Only change is I switched from one USB printer (HP 97xx) to a Konica 2400W
laser printer. Uninstalled the old print driver then installed the new one.
New printer works fine.

I had a similar problem with mine for a while, I had to restart into Safe
mode, and back to normal to get it to read my cards.

It is all ok now, I dunno what I might have done to fix it permanantley
though.
