capturing video

How can I capture video from a DVD that I have. I have a collection of DVDs
that I transferred from my digital camera to a DVD recorder. I would like to
put those on my computer and edit them through the wmm. Is that possible? I
am a novice at computer stuff. Thanks

Why? There are PC DVD drives that should be able to read your DVD discs.
Then, you can use DVD editing software directly.

I'm wanting to be able to put the DVD in the DVD drive, open the window movie
maker, import the video on the DVD, and then edit it. I can watch the video
on Window media player, but I can't save it and work with it on window movie
maker. How would I do this? Thanks
