Hello

I have a DVD that I would like to use scenes from to use in a Powerpoint Presentation. Is Movie Maker capable of capturing scenes from a DVD and converting them to a .mov or .mpeg file? If not does anyone have any suggestions as to what software to use for this application

Depends on the DVD.... if it's encrypted, then you should not use scenes
from it. If it's not encrypted and you own the copyright for it, then you
can copy the files from the DVD to the hard drive, rename the VOB files to
MPG extensions and edit them in MM2... see PapaJohn's website for importing
MPG files into MM2.

After the editing is complete, save them in AVI format, then use a third
party software like Quick Time Pro to convert the AVI to MOV.
